Every once in a while a guitar comes along that just has "it". We don't always
know what "it" is. Sometimes "it's" tone, sometimes "it's" playability, and
sometimes "it's" just damn good looks. Well..., this one has all of "it".
The Duncan '59 (neck) is, without a doubt the best pickup for pure (humbucker) "tone"
that has ever come about. The Duncan Tele Hot Rails (bridge) will scream with most
any humbucker, and can still deliver GREAT single coil (my personal favorite) tone.

As far as playability goes, this guitar plays very, very well. If it had a 1-11/16"
nut instead of the 1-5/8" then it would play great. To me, this is the only
flaw in this guitar, but then, that is just a personal preference. Most of my
friends acutally prefer the smaller nut width.

When it comes to looks, nobody beats Yamaha. For sheer finish quality, they are in a
league that should be priced much higher. The finish on this guitar is incredible.
The grain in the Ash body is very pronounced and Yamaha did a great job in accentuating
that grain with a flawless finish. Easily in the same league as PRS, Anderson, McInturff,
and any number of over-priced so-called "custom" guitars.
