1999 Fender American Standard Telecaster

I bought this Tele from MMI Music back in September of '99. It was marked
down $200 because of 2 dings in the back (one of which went through the finish). This
price included the standard plastic (SKB style) hard shell case, and I really wanted a Tele,
so I put it on layaway and with the extra income from my band I was able to pay it off in about
a month. The stock Tele pickups just didn't 'twang' enough, so I replaced them with a set of Duncans.
I put a Vintage Broadcaster at the bridge, and a Vintage Rythym at the neck. Now I get all the
twang I could EVER want! I also replaced the stock white pickguard with a perloid one and it looks
great. Currently, I'm thinking about having the neck reshaped to a soft 'V' like my '87 Strat. I recently
put a set of Sperzel Trimlok tuners on it (although they aren't in the pictures yet) and I also plan on
replacing the original plastic (SKB style) case with a brown tolex model.
In any event, it is really a fun guitar to play.

In the pics below, you can see my Tele's one "character" mark.
This would be the big ding on the back of the body that knocked
the price down so low.
